Award – Eligibility

Participate in the Annual International Achievement Award of ICOM Canada:

Do you know a museum professional who has made a mark on museology through international outreach?  This is how you can nominate someone for this award:

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, the nominee must be an ICOM member in good standing and must have worked in a Canadian institution. An ICOM member who is familiar with the nominee’s achievements must make the nomination.

 

Deadline

November 15 each year.

Criteria

Each nominee must have done the following:

    • Played a significant role in putting Canadian museums on the world stage.
    • Developed and supported international cooperation, collaboration, and partnerships.
    • Contributed to the expansion of links between Canadian and international museums.
    • Fostered and promoted Canadian museology internationally.

 

Nomination Instructions

Complete the Nomination Form and attach the following:

    • A letter of nomination signed by the nominator, max 2 pages.
    • An explanation that clearly states how the nominee meets the criteria, max 3 pages.
    • A curriculum vitae for the nominee.
    • Six copies of any supporting material presenting the nominee’s international work.
